- undefined
Three draft amendments to Thailand’s Alcoholic Beverage Control Act of 2008 are reportedly under consideration. Under the current law, alcohol beverages sales are banned from public venues and on religious days and alcohol may be purchased only from 11 am - 2 pm and 5 pm -midnight. Section 32 of the law bans advertising alcohol or displaying the name or logo of alcohol to show qualities or induce drinking. Section 30 bans sales promotions and sales from vending machines, and allows officials to prohibit any other recommended means. The Office of the Prime Minister outlawed electronic sales in December 2020.
