United States: Information on ingredient labels for wine – This authordiscusses the future of allergen, ingredient, and nutritional labelling for the wine sector – predicting that the United States may approve allergen and nutrition labels by late 2023 and ingredient labels sometime in 2024. European winemakers will use QR codes (u-label.com) when the European Union’s labeling rule takes effect in December 2023. If the United States were to adopt a similar rule, the U.S. code might also meet EU requirements.
