China suspends economic talks with Australia

China has reportedly suspended economic dialogue with Australia indefinitely. Relations between the two countries have deteriorated since Australia called for a probe into the origins of COVID-19 and banned Huawei from building its 5G network.
China imposed sanctions on Australian goods, including wine and beef, in 2020, and Chinese investment in Australia plummeted 61% that year, the lowest number in six years. China accounted for 29% of Australia's trade with the world in 2019.
