In advance of visiting China next month, Australia’s Trade Minister has reportedly indicated that Australia might withdraw its World Trade Organisation cases against China regarding wine and barley tariffs if “there’s some goodwill shown on both sides.”
He also reportedly suggested that it might improve prospects for China possibly joining the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership if China were to end its trade bans against Australia, thereby demonstrating its commitment to free trade rules.
